September in Alder Flats

The chill of fall will soon be in the air.  The great August weather allowed our farmers to get their hay baled and put away without rain and the kids are (maybe) looking forward to getting back to school to see their friends.

September 4 is the first day back for our elementary school, so remember to slow down as there will be a lot more walking and auto traffic along the main street!  We're happy to see our local restaurant reopening in September too!  Good luck to the new proprietor!

Join us on September 13 at 7:00 pm at the Alder Flats Community Centre for a Crime Prevention Information Session, brought to us by the Leduc Rural Crime Watch, Leduc Blackgold Citizens on Patrol and the Leduc, Thorsby and Breton RCMP Detachments.

They'll be providing homeowners, businesses and farmers with inexpensive tips on how to make your property less attractive to those with criminal intent.

Open to all residents of the area!

Be pro-active in crime prevention and make an effort to attend!

If you are interested in getting involved in community recreation and/or activities, please join us at the Community Centre on September 19 at 7:00 pm for our monthly Alder Flats Ag Society meeting.  We are always looking for new members with an interest in volunteering or organizing activities.
